Our programs allow educators to explore techniques as artists while developing meaningful classroom applications that support student engagement and creative confidence. TEA-approved, CPE-eligible.
This self-paced, TEA-approved studio experience invites art educators to explore soft sculpture through non-representational form building. Using fabric, batting, thread, and optional wire, participants experiment with adhesive-free construction, investigating balance, attachment, and air as primary design principles.
Learn and Practice:
Material-led experimentation with soft sculpture
Techniques for joining materials via sewing, tying, and wrapping
Observation and reflection on spatial relationships and tension
Classroom & Studio Applications:
Adapt lessons for students of any age, introducing 3D form exploration and tactile construction
Integrate historical and contemporary artist references for discussion and inspiration
SEL-infused practices emphasizing patience, risk-taking, and creative problem-solving
CPE Credit: 3 hours
Format: Self-paced, digital curriculum + printed studio cards + curated material kit
This self-paced, TEA-approved studio experience invites art educators to explore cold wax techniques through layered surface building and sgraffito. Using cold wax, pigments, collage materials, and textured supports, participants experiment with layering, carving, and revealing, investigating surface, texture, and emotional expression as primary design principles.

Material-led experimentation with cold wax, pigments, collage, and surface tools
Techniques for layering, carving, scratching, and uncovering hidden textures
Observation and reflection on emotional landscapes and conceptual topography
Classroom & Studio Applications:

This self-paced, TEA-approved professional learning bundle invites art educators to explore sculptural form and layered surface processes through two immersive studio experiences. Participants engage in material-led experimentation across both three-dimensional construction and mixed-media surface development, investigating structure, texture, reflection, and emotional expression as core design principles.

Spring: Soft Sculpture — Light Structures (3 CPE Hours)
Explore non-representational soft sculpture through fabric-based construction, investigating balance, attachment, and spatial relationships using adhesive-free techniques.
Summer: Cold Wax — Emotional Topography (6 CPE Hours)
Investigate layered surface building through cold wax, collage, and carving techniques, exploring emotional landscapes and conceptual topography through reveal and reflection.

Secondary Grades Kit (6-12)
