This self-paced, TEA-approved studio experience invites art educators to explore soft sculpture through non-representational form building. Using fabric, batting, thread, and optional wire, participants experiment with adhesive-free construction, investigating balance, attachment, and air as primary design principles.
Learn and Practice:
Material-led experimentation with soft sculpture
Techniques for joining materials via sewing, tying, and wrapping
Observation and reflection on spatial relationships and tension

Adapt lessons for students of any age, introducing 3D form exploration and tactile construction

This self-paced, TEA-approved studio experience invites art educators to explore cold wax techniques through layered surface building and sgraffito. Using cold wax, pigments, collage materials, and textured supports, participants experiment with layering, carving, and revealing, investigating surface, texture, and emotional expression as primary design principles.

Techniques for layering, carving, scratching, and uncovering hidden textures

This self-paced, TEA-approved professional learning bundle invites art educators to explore sculptural form and layered surface processes through two immersive studio experiences. Secondary Grades Kit (6-12)
